I did a day-trip to Firenze from Roma. Another 18k steps and 8+ miles today. I started off by getting to Roma Termini to catch a 7:30 am bullet train to Florence. Of course I was seconds late for the bus and had to wait an extra 5min. Missing the bus was costly because I was four minutes late for my tour in Florence, and they did not wait. I made the best of it and followed the tour itinerary and deviated at my own pace which worked out. But I was exhausted and ready to return to Rome because my feet were killing me. When I returned to Rome, I wanted to do a little shopping, but of course, I ran into a monsoon and had to Uber back to the flat.
